By default in your Drupal application you will see two major content types – Articles and Basic Pages.
An Article is used for content that is updated oftentimes. That can be a newsfeed, a blog post or any announcement. Drupal arranges the articles to display the most recent posts at the top but of course, this can be changed.
A Basic Page is a page that you do not normally update and it is usually linked to a menu , although that is not obligatory. You should use a Basic Page for creating the main pages of the website such as About Us, Our Services etc.
There are as well other not so popular types of content that Drupal offers – a Book pager, a Poll a Forum Topic.
