In this guide, we will show how to make changes to your htaccess file (.htaccess) in your cPanel. The .htaccess is a directory-level configuration file that allows decentralized management of your web server or hosting account.
Editing your .htaccess is done easily through the File Manager in your cPanel. By default, the .htaccess file (as well as all other dotfiles) is hidden from your File Manager. To display the .htaccess, follow the steps here. If you still cannot create the .htaccess, you can easily create one from the option in your File Manager.
Once you have located your .htaccess file select it and hit click the Edit option:
You can also select Code Edit for better formatting options. Make sure that you enter the correct code and click the Save button to make the changes.
