To activate SSL connection in AbanteCart go to your AbanteCart Administration panel -> System -> Settings -> Details.
Choose HTTPS from the Store URL and Secure Store URL dropdown options and click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
*Note: You need to have an SSL Certificate in order for the https secure connection to work.
