What does “Site contains both secure and non-secure items” mean?

Even as a normal site visitor, you have most probably encountered the warning “Site contains both secure and non-secure items” making you unsure on how to proceed. An SSL installation by default covers all of your files and folders on the server with us. However sometimes the website may contain external resources, like images or banners, from other websites. In such cases the certificate displays this message as a warning.

In order to overcome this, you would need to check your code for such resources and either add them through a secure connection or remove them completely.
